Discovery Countrytime Hotel Omarama Summer Re-Opening

The Distinction Hotels Group is excited to announce that Discovery Countrytime Hotel Omarama will re-open for stays from 24 October 2025 for the busy summer season.

The hotel goes into hibernation at the start of winter, however our sister Omarama hotel; Distinction Heritage Gateway Hotel remains fully operational and the 3.5-star hotel continues to welcome visitors to the Waitaki District throughout the year.

Distinction Hotels Group CEO Duncan Fletcher said "with an increase in international flight schedules and demand for visitors to explore this beautiful part of the world, it is important to add an additional 47-room capacity to the region during the busy summer months".

"The Distinction team do an outstanding job, comfortably accommodating all those travellers wishing to experience this special piece of NZ paradise.
